There are multiple ways to create a Project Sub Task
Create Sub Task from a Project Task
- Open a task, click the Sub Tasks tab, and select one of the following:
- Add Sub Task
- Add by Team Member
- Open the Sub Task and make any necessary changes, including Assignee and Estimated Effort
- Click the Save icon. The created Sub Task will now be visible in the Project form Tasks tab, immediately below the parent Task and prefixed with ‘…’
Create Sub Task by copying an existing Sub Task
- Open the Sub Task you want to copy, click the Extended Menu icon, then select Copy Task
- Make any necessary changes, such as editing the Title, Assignee, Scheduled Date / Time and End Date / Time, Estimated Effort
- Click the Save icon
Create Sub Task from the Resource Console
- Go to Projects > Resource Console, and click the Edit icon
- From the Project Tasks tab, highlight the Task related to the Sub Task you want to create
- In the Calendar grid, click and drag your cursor across the scheduled time for which you want to create the Sub Task
- Click the Save icon. A new Sub Task is displayed on the Calendar grid as well as in the Project Tasks grid, immediately below the parent Task
