The Create a Quote option (Call Form > Extended Menu) allows businesses to generate a Quote based on the details of a Service Call, providing a seamless workflow between Service and Sales. It also links the Quote back to the original Service Call for better traceability
- Open the Call record
- Click the Create a Quote Extended Menu option. Note the following:
- Various fields within the Call are inherited by the Quote, such as the Call No. field
- The Order Type field is set to WORK ORDER
- In the new Quote record, do one of the following:
- Fill out the rest of the Quote details and process the Quote. Refer to Sales Procedures if needed
- In the Call > WO / Invoice tab, locate the linked Quote. If the quote is converted, the subsequent Sales Order is visible in the Work Orders grid
